Synopsis

Martin hasn't had the best vacation. He accidentally killed his girlfriend with an axe. He cut his own arm off with a chainsaw. And his friends STILL got devoured by a battalion of Nazi Zombies. This morning, he woke up in a hospital bed with a new arm - but it's a super-powered Zombie arm that wants to kill him, and anyone else it can reach. Martin's PISSED. And with the help of his new Zombie Squad pals, he's gonna deliver some payback to Colonel Herzog and his precious Nazi gold - by raising an undead army of his own.

DVD and Blu-ray Releases for December 9th, 2014

December 9th, 2014

It is a very shallow week on the home market. Granted, Guardians of the Galaxy is coming out this week on DVD or 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack and it would be a clear contender for Pick of the Week even on the busiest of week. However, after that, there is a sharp decline in quality. Calvary and Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead are two very different movies, but both are contenders for Pick of the Week. In the end, I went with Guardians of the Galaxy as the Pick of the Week. More...

Limited Releases: Whipped into Shape

Whiplash poster

We have a rather long list of limited releases this week, but sadly only three of them are earning overwhelmingly positive reviews. Unfortunately, two of these films will likely not do well in theaters. Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead is a horror film, which is one strike against it, while it is also playing on Video on Demand. I Am Ali is a documentary, so it could do well in art house circuits, but its chances of expanding significantly are very limited. Finally there's Whiplash, which could lead the way on the Per Theater Chart. More...
