Movie Website Updates for January 27 - February 2
February 2, 2006
During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. It was another slow week with nothing really grabbing my attention and nothing award-winning, (although there are a couple of sites that show promise). Hopefully some of the summer blockbusters will start launching flash sites so this slump can end.

The placeholder site was redesigned to give it a little more personality, but there was no new content.
Just the synopsis, image gallery and the trailer so far.
Nothing to see here.
Another clip, this time with Jason Mewes talking about doing his own stunts.
There was a slight redesign and a couple of games were added to the site. I'm not good at anagrams, but I was able to get my time of the Symbol game down to 30 seconds.
Just a list of people appearing in the movie.
Simple site with all the usual features, including a Red Band trailer, but not much the in way of extras. Couple of notes, I must really be jaded cause I can't figure out why the trailer was restricted. Secondly, I really like the music from the trailer, it's catchy.
The trailer was added to the placeholder site, but it didn't really sell the film well. I'm still looking forward to the movie, mainly for the cast, but I'm not as enthusiastic as I was before I saw the trailer.
There's just the synopsis, image gallery and the trailer. That's not much for a movie that opens tomorrow.
Just the image gallery and the press kit so far.
An image gallery was added this week that contains almost three images. Wow.
Just the trailer so far, but I am intrigued. It's also interesting to see what was shocking a few decades ago now seems quaint.
Just the teaser trailer so far, which was far too much teaser and not enough trailer for me.
A game was added to the site and it's really good compared to most website games. However, it seems to have some problems with load times cause it hung on me a few times. Also, in order to play the full game you have to give more information than I'm willing to over the internet.
Just the trailer so far. On a side note, this better be the last movie in this franchise.
Three clips were added just in time for tomorrow's opening. I'm little more hopeful that the film will have more substance than the typical romantic comedy.
Not much as changed since the site was first on this list, but for the rated and unrated trailers were added.
This site has all the usual features, but not enough style to set it apart.
There's a announcement for the new trailer that should be online on Sunday. I like the way they describe the trailer just cause it's different.
No changes in a while.
There were a few video clips added to the site, including interviews and a montage of clips filmed at the premiere.
Five video clips were added to the site. These interviews deal with the film, the actors, even the move from film to digital medium. Very interesting to watch and sells the film well.
