Secrets and Japanese Businessmen
January 2, 2004
Just two movies open in limited release this week, and one of them already opened on New Year's Eve. That's not surprising given this time of the year and things will start to pick up again by the end of the month.
Japanese Story - Reviews: This film already opened on Wednesday to mixed reviews. Overall it only had 58% positive, but 100% from the cream of the crop. This movie will probably never much of an audience outside the indie set, but with Toni Collette it should do well within that target audience.
Secret Things - Reviews: There are not enough reviews over on Rotten Tomatoes to receive an overall rating, which tells you how limited this release is. It opens tonight at NuArt Cinema in Los Angeles and will have difficulty expanding out of the niche market.
