Theater Averages: Death Has Lively Opening with $46,201 Average

The Death of Stalin earned first place on the theater average chart with an average of $46,201 in four theaters. Claire’s Camera was well back with $11,489 in its lone theater. Black Panther remained in the $10,000 club for the fourth weekend in a row with $10,354.
There were several other new limited releases, some of which did quite well. Itzhak earned an average of $7,221 in two theaters. Meditation Park also did well with an average of $6,659 in three theaters. Leaning into the Wind struggled with an average of $4,968 in five theaters. The Leisure Seeker and Girls vs. Gangsters were relatively close together with averages of $4,061 and $3,761 respectively. Thoroughbreds barely avoided the Mendoza line with an average of $2,230, but it was playing in 549 theaters. Our Blood is Wine wasn’t as lucky, earning an average of $770 in just two theaters.
