Daily Box Office Tracking: Endgame Finishes Its First Week in 15th place Domestically
May 3, 2019
Avengers: Endgame finished its first week on the domestic chart by earning $21.4 million on Thursday to push its running tally to $473.8 million after just seven days of release. This is the 14th-best Thursday of all time, but a lot of the entries ahead of it are either holidays or opening days. The film is now in fourth place on the M.C.U. chart, but it will take a bit to overtake The Avengers for third place. It is in 15th place on the all time domestic chart and its chances of reaching first place will depend heavily on how well it does this weekend. If it has the same legs as Avengers: Infinity War, then it will get there.
Internationally, Avengers: Endgame earned $100.0 million for a total of $1.312 billion, putting it in fourth place on the all-time international chart. It will surpass Infinity War today. Its worldwide total hit $1.786 million, keeping it in fifth place, for now. It will quickly overtake Infinity War and The Force Awakens will fall shortly after that.
Avengers: Endgame became the first Hollywood film to reach $500 million in China with a running tall of $511.6 million, including $52.1 million on Thursday. Its other top markets are the U.K. ($71.1 million); South Korea ($64.0 million); and Mexico ($50.9 million).
