Daily Box Office Tracking: Endgame Causes Jurassic World to go Extinct
May 9, 2019
Avengers: Endgame was able to overtake Jurassic World for sixth place on the all-time domestic chart on Wednesday. It did so after earning $8.3 million and pushing its running tally to $652.9 million. It is very close behind Titanic for fifth place on that chart, while it won’t take much longer to reach second place on the M.C.U.
Internationally, the film added $22.1 million on Wednesday for totals of $1.65 billion internationally and $2.30 billion worldwide. There is still a big gap between Avengers: Endgame and Avatar on both of those charts.
Looking in at individual markets, we again see China as the biggest market for Avengers: Endgame. It earned $3.6 million on Wednesday for a running tally of $589.0 million. The film also broke $2 million in France ($2.5 million on Wednesday for a total of $47.8 million so far) and Brazil ($2.2 million / $63.4 million). It also remained potent in the U.K. with $1.2 million / $97.8 million.
