Synopsis
A Civil War veteran returns home looking for peace. He fulfills a promise to a dying soldier and a Negro widow and her daughter to stay with him and his son. Facing bigotry and greatly outnumbered, he struggles to find faith. A mysterious turn of events provides his family with the unexpected help they need to overcome.
