Disney Junior is the rebranded version of Playhouse Disney Channel that launched as a full channel in 2011. Earlier this year they overtook Nick, Jr.'s ratings, Nick, Jr. being the longtime ruler of preschool TV. This is thanks in part to hits like Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins. There are no extras on the DVD.
Doc McStuffins is a very good show, and even though Time for Your Checkup has no extras, it is still worth picking up. It's a good price-per-minute for a preschool show.
The Show
Doc and Donny are playing a game of Gulpy, Gulpy Gators! Donny wants to keep playing, but the gators ate all of the marbles, so he adds more. But after playing some more, one of the Gulping Gators can't gulp anymore.
Donny and Alma are playing in a band, but Alma's xylophone toy doesn't sound right. One of her keys isn't playing the right note. Things get worse when Stuffy accidentally loses the key.
Doc has a sleepover with one of her friends, but the next day her doll, Susie Sunshine, is acting funny. She is very irritable.
While Doc is playing in her backyard with Labie and Stuffy, a toy rocketship comes crashing down on them. The toy belongs to Carlos. He's happy it went so high up, but the alien astronaut, Star Blazer Zero, fell apart. Carlos asks Doc to put him back together.
Doc and Donny go to the arcade with their dad. While there, Doc hears some of the toys in the claw game calling to her. Gaby the Giraffe was damaged when a girl tried to pick her up, now none of the kids want her as a toy. Doc needs to patch her up so she can find a home, but first she will need to get her out.
It's nighttime and the Doc, Donny, and Dad are in the backyard waiting for meteor shower. Henry just got a new telescope, but when he puts it together, he forgets an important piece and it is up to Doc to fix it.
The correct name for this type of dinosaur is Apatosaurus. Donny won a new toy at the Arcade, Bronty. Bronty is big and excitable and it isn't long before the other toys get all banged up.
After lunch, everyone runs away from Bronty, who has a bad case of bad breath.
Doc comes in to help her toys, especially Chilly, who thinks he is sick yet again. However, this time it's Doc who is the one who needs help, so she goes to her mom, who tells Doc she has a a fever. Now her toys have to take care of her.
After the Evil King steals some of Doc's jewelry, Officer Pete, the toy police car, gives chase. The Evil King is caught, but Officer Pete is feeling worn out. The Extras
